Job OverviewAs a Customer Service Representative at Herndon Family Agency - Farm Bureau Insurance, you will play a vital role in maintaining strong customer relationships by providing exceptional service and support. Key Responsibilities
  • Provide timely and professional service to existing clients, including updating policies, providing quotes, and answering questions.
  • Handle customer inquiries and concerns with speed and professionalism, ensuring a positive experience for all clients.
  • Work with new clients to understand their needs, gather necessary data, and research policy options to provide the best solutions.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve business goals and objectives, and participate in ongoing training and development to stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.
  • Resolve product or service issues by clarifying the customer's concern, determining the cause of the issue, and selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the issue.

Requirements
  • Hold the insurance license required by Michigan and have a minimum of two years of personal lines insurance account management experience or have a Bachelors Degree/comparable work experience.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of insurance products and usages, rating procedures, underwriting procedures, coverages, and industry operations to effectively manage, maintain, and write assigned clients and prospects.
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, colleagues, and management.
  • Have a strong sense of urgency, attention to detail, organization, multi-tasking, and follow-up skills, and the ability to handle difficult situations with customers and solve complex problems without direct supervision.
