We are seeking a proactive individual with a background in estimating and quoting for commercial and industrial clients. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in preparing bid proposals tailored for the commercial and industrial sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and overseeing bids for commercial clientele.
  • Conducting take-offs and estimating costs related to equipment, labor, and materials.
  • Proficient in sourcing and assessing quotes from vendors for service and repair tasks.
  • Drafting comprehensive proposals and bids.
  • Managing multiple bids concurrently while adapting to changes throughout the bidding process.
  • Experience in service and repair is highly advantageous.
  • Reporting directly to the HVAC General Manager.
  • Coordinating and tracking incoming parts.
  • Placing orders for necessary components for projects.
  • Facilitating integrated approvals.
  • Managing NTE (Not to Exceed) changes, including requests for price adjustments.
  • Acting as a liaison between clients and the General Manager.
  • Staying updated on vendor changes, parts, pricing, and equipment, while maintaining organized spreadsheets.

Qualifications:

  • Experience as an estimator in service and repair for HVAC systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook and Excel.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple bids throughout the entire bidding lifecycle.
  • A solid foundation in HVAC principles is essential.
  • Capability to accurately summarize materials, equipment, and labor requirements.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
