Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the accounts payable function, including tasks such as:

  • Invoice input and vendor database maintenance
  • W-9 information receipt, input, and maintenance
  • Weekly cash analysis with collaboration
  • Check runs and positive pay file preparation and upload

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Recording and reconciling daily merchant account activity, including research and dispute of merchant chargebacks
  • Reconciling daily bank cash flow, performing wires, transfers, and ACH payments, and researching discrepancies
  • Shared responsibility for account and intercompany reconciliation
  • Managing company credit card expenses and reconciling monthly
  • Handling petty cash and reconciling monthly
  • Inputting journal entries as needed
  • Responsible for monthly bank reconciliations and vendor contact to clear stale dated checks
  • Maintaining and inventorying accounting records, including record retention
  • Assisting in annual 1099 processing
  • Performing special projects and other tasks as needed
  • Maintaining fixed asset records

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of basic accounting principles, proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and Office, and excellent organizational and communication skills. Previous experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliation, and general accounting is highly desirable. A high degree of attention to detail, ability to work independently, and problem-solving skills are also essential. The salary for this position is estimated to be around $55,000 - $65,000 per year, based on the location and industry standards.
