Position Overview

Responsibilities

As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will:
  • Coordinate the interdisciplinary care plan for patients from admission to discharge.
  • Develop a comprehensive care strategy that incorporates patient and family preferences.
  • Monitor the medical necessity and care levels through assessments and evaluations.
  • Advocate for necessary resources and address any barriers to care.
  • Maintain communication with supervisors and care transition teams to ensure effective implementation of health plans.
  • Serve as a resource for accurate medical record documentation and care recommendations.

Qualifications

Licensure / Certification / Registration:
  • Must possess a valid Registered Nurse license from the Texas Board of Nursing.

Education:
  • Diploma from an accredited nursing school or required professional licensure at the time of hire.
