Ghirardelli Chocolate Company, a leading manufacturer of premium chocolate, seeks a Customer Experience Expert to join its team. As a key member of our sales team, the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and creating an unforgettable shopping experience for our guests.

Compensation and Benefits

The Customer Experience Expert will be compensated with a competitive hourly rate of $21.00, with opportunities for quarterly bonuses and employee discounts of up to 50% off all Ghirardelli products.

Job Responsibilities

The Customer Experience Expert will perform a variety of tasks, including:

• Providing exceptional customer service, responding to guest inquiries, and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Managing cash handling and credit card processing procedures, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
• Assisting in the preparation and presentation of our premium chocolate products, adhering to company guidelines and best practices.
• Maintaining a clean and organized store environment, including the sales floor, stockroom, and employee facilities.
• Staying up-to-date on product knowledge, pricing, and company history to effectively communicate with guests and create upsell opportunities.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, the candidate must possess:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse team and interact with guests in a professional and courteous manner.
• Basic math computation skills and attention to detail in managing cash handling and credit card processing procedures.
• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitasking and prioritizing tasks to meet customer needs and company expectations.

Working Conditions

The Customer Experience Expert will work in a retail environment, with varying shifts including nights and weekends. The store hours of operation are Monday through Thursday, 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM; Friday, 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM; Saturday and Sunday, 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Shifts may include up to 2 hours before or after store hours for prep and cleaning duties.

Education and Experience

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma and previous retail experience, with a strong work ethic and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
