About the Job:

As a SONIC Drive-In Restaurant General Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of the Drive-In, working closely with the General Manager to provide high-quality food and services to our guests. This role is responsible for managing the Drive-In and its operations, ensuring a positive and efficient experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the General Manager in hiring, training, and developing a team of Great People to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating a Fair, Firm, Fun leadership approach and setting high standards for self and the team.
  • Manage a profit and loss statement to exceed expectations, making data-driven decisions to drive business growth.
  • Swiftly resolve employee concerns and celebrate team successes, providing clear and continuous feedback to improve performance.
  • Create an upbeat and positive atmosphere during shifts, making work fun and engaging for employees.
  • Help employees understand the big picture and their role by sharing the 'why' behind tasks, promoting a sense of purpose and ownership.
  • Maintain and enforce SONIC safety and sanitation standards, ensuring a clean and safe environment for guests and employees.
  • Relentlessly comply with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations, upholding the highest standards of integrity and ethics.

Requirements:

  • Prior management experience, preferably in the restaurant or retail industry (subject to franchise discretion).
  • High standards for self and the team, with a positive attitude and resilience in the face of challenges.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to prioritize and complete tasks accordingly.
  • Associate's degree in Business or a related field (preferred, subject to franchise discretion).
  • Willingness to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
