Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at MSA, The Safety Company. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards in our manufacturing processes.

About the Role:

This is a full-time position that requires strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to build relationships with frontline managers and associates. You will work in a fast-paced environment, driving execution and delivering results.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate project teams to make focused improvements using MSA Operating System tools (KPIs, problem-solving tools, action trackers, etc.)
  • Lead efforts on projects/assignments with awareness of budget and milestone goals, identifying problems impacting project goals and proposing solutions for customer/sponsor evaluation
  • Investigate and define corrective and preventative actions pertaining to defective components, materials, and products using systemic problem-solving tools and quality control systems
  • Maintain local quality certification documentation and audits
  • Document, track, and provide corrective actions for quality opportunities from both internal and external sources
  • Knowledge and experience with quality and problem-solving tools such as 8D, 5 Whys
  • Solid written & oral English (daily contact with international suppliers)
  • Knowledge in Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams, and SharePoint
  • Knowledge and experience in Quality Management Systems requirements
  • Management and implementation of assigned PCR and CPR reports as related to both internal and external customers

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to drive execution/passion for results

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Engineering Degree (preferably in Industrial Engineering)
  • Masters or MBA
  • Relevant enrichment courses or progress toward a basic level certification
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • ISO/UL experience

Compensation:

The estimated salary for this position is $80,499 - $100,623 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
