Business Operations Manager

Lockheed Martin Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Business Operations Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the SBF Finance team, coordinating work assignments, and providing day-to-day guidance, training, and development for financial analysts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the SBF Finance team, including coordinating work assignments and providing day-to-day guidance and training.
- Develop and refine standard processes to create consistency across various programs and analysts.
- Support the site as a focal point for charging and financial issues.
- Perform complex financial analyses for manufacturing cost pools, internal MFC initiatives, SBF outside contracts, and Repair and Depot activities.
- Generate estimates at completion and monitor contract performance to budget and schedule.
- Develop program baseline budgets and calculate earned value performance, analyze variances, and work with cross-functional teams to create risk mitigation and recovery plans.
- Review Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) transactions and validate proper cost allocations.
- Calculate weekly performance metrics and manage production pools.
- Calculate and update sub-assembly values for focal plane arrays and provide monthly status reports for all SBF Financial Exposure Authorizations.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage employees, provide clear direction, and guidance.
- Patient and effective trainer and mentor.
- Strong analytical and computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access).
- Experience working various financial functions (estimating, supporting proposal fact-finding and negotiations, cost control for cost-plus and fixed-price contracts, contract close-outs, and supporting government audits).
- Ability to work multiple tasks concurrently.
- Candidate must be able to work independently (with minimal direction and oversight) and in a team environment.
- Self-starter/motivated individual that works effectively with all levels of site personnel.
- Masters degree desired.
- Familiarity with LM/MFC systems, practices, and procedures and program personnel.
- Basic knowledge of IR industry and experience with cost control of development and production efforts.
- Advanced computer skills with Excel and Access.
- Previous experience working for a defense contractor in a similar position.
- Familiar with FAR/DFAR regulations.
- Extensive working knowledge of earned value management techniques and concepts.
This position requires a government security clearance, and the candidate must be a US citizen for consideration.
