Fabricator II Job Description

Mega Fluid Systems is seeking a skilled Fabricator II to join our team. As a Fabricator II, you will be responsible for the assembly and fabrication of PFA and PVDF plastic assemblies used in our manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and fabricate plastic parts using various techniques, including plastic welding, repair, and fabrication.
  • Operate conventional lathes and other shop equipment to produce high-quality plastic components.
  • Select and use the appropriate tools, machines, and materials to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Work collaboratively with a team to assemble components of a system.
  • Read and interpret mechanical drawings to ensure accurate assembly and fabrication.
  • Use measuring devices accurately to ensure precise measurements.
  • Identify and weld different plastics to meet specific requirements.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to 5S principles.
  • Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies correctly.
  • Document safety and quality actions and observations when required.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3-5+ years' experience reading mechanical assembly drawings or ability to quickly learn.
  • 3-5+ years' experience assembling and/or fabricating plastic parts.
  • 3-5+ years' experience adhering to Safety and Quality demands while working in a production facility.
  • 3-5+ years' experience welding with plastic materials.
  • 3-5+ years' experience working in a shop environment.

Physical Job Requirements:

  • The ability to stand up for prolonged periods and occasionally walk, bend, and lift 30lbs.
  • May be asked to work overtime, including some evenings and weekends.

Compensation: 20-24 Hourly Wage
