Medical Support Associate

Lovlace Regional Hospital is a leading healthcare provider in Roswell, NM, offering a range of services including emergency care, intensive care, and surgical services.
We are seeking a Medical Support Associate to join our team on a rotating shift basis. As a full-time employee, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and make a meaningful contribution to patient care.
Responsibilities- Provide basic patient care under the direction of nursing and medical staff.
- Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and other ADLs.
- Observe patients' progress and prepare reports for Registered Nurses or other medical staff.
- Take patients' vital signs and collect specimens for lab tests.
- Provide basic patient transport and housekeeping duties.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent required; High school diploma or GED may be considered with relevant experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire or transfer into position.
- PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in phlebotomy or completion of a phlebotomy course.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- 1 year experience in acute or long-term care.
- Working towards approved CNA, PCT, or paramedic (EMT-P) certification.
