Position Title: Helper

Position Overview:

  • Identify and gather all necessary tools for assigned tasks.
  • Operate machinery as per qualifications.
  • Assist in loading, unloading, and positioning materials as required.
  • Recognize safety hazards and implement necessary precautions to mitigate risks.
  • Support skilled workers in daily operations and work orders.
  • Contribute to various construction-related tasks as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness in work areas.

Experience Requirements:

  • A minimum of six months as an industrial helper in a construction setting is required. Preference will be given to candidates with two or more years of experience in the pulp and paper sector.

Required Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of materials, tools, and basic construction techniques is essential.
  • Reliable transportation is a must.
  • Commitment to safety protocols and regulations is required.

Physical and Job Site Requirements:

  • Ability to complete hiring documentation electronically.
  • Completion of online safety training is mandatory.
  • Capability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Physical strength and stamina to perform essential job functions.
  • Ability to navigate confined spaces and uneven terrain.
  • Full range of motion consistent with age.
  • Ability to climb and maintain balance on ladders.
  • Ability to hear and respond to verbal commands and alarms.
  • Visual acuity, depth perception, and color discrimination necessary for working at heights and on uneven surfaces.
  • Steel-toed safety footwear is required.
