Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Dosing Nurse to join our team at New Season Treatment Centers. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing safe, quality, and best-in-class care for individuals living with Opioid Use Disorder (OUD).

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer medication pursuant to physician order and record dosage administered in the medical record.
  • Conduct daily medication inventory counts and maintain absolute accuracy in daily accounting of medication.
  • Assume responsibility for safeguarding medication inventory and ensuring proper disposal of medical waste.
  • Collect fees and perform daily cash reconciliation in the absence of a cashier position.
  • Receive and verify incoming medication shipments and advise necessary staff of any discrepancies.
  • Observe patient demeanor prior to dosing and communicate any issues or concerns to the Medical Director or Registered Nurse.
  • Administer lab tests as required, including patient vital signs and TB tests, and collect data for review by the Medical Director or RN.
  • Schedule and screen patients for medical appointments and assist the Medical Director in collecting data for the history and physical.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient medical paperwork and comply with federal and state privacy rules.
Requirements
  • Active LPN license in the state of New Mexico.
  • Understanding of opiate addiction, medical terminology, and general nursing knowledge.
  • Basic mathematics skills and computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft products.
  • Minimum of 1 year of direct patient contact experience and prior experience in the clinical environment is helpful.
