Job Title: FT Dosing Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate FT Dosing Nurse to join our team at New Season Treatment Centers. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will play a vital role in providing safe and effective medication administration to our patients.

Job Summary:

Under the direction of our Medical Director or Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for promoting and restoring patients' health, collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members, and providing support to patients. Your primary focus will be on medication administration, inventory management, and ensuring the accuracy of medication supplies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer medication pursuant to physician orders and record dosage administered in the medical record.
  • Conduct daily medication inventory counts and maintain absolute accuracy in accounting for medication supplies.
  • Safeguard medication inventory and ensure proper disposal of medical waste.
  • Collect fees and perform daily cash reconciliation in the absence of a cashier position.
  • Receive and verify incoming medication shipments, advising staff of any discrepancies.
  • Observe patients' demeanor prior to dosing and communicate any issues or concerns to the Medical Director or Registered Nurse.
  • Administer lab tests as required, including patient vital signs and TB tests, and collect data for review by the Medical Director or RN.
  • Schedule and screen patients for medical director appointments and assist with data collection for history and physicals.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient medical records and comply with federal and state privacy rules.
Requirements:
  • Active LPN license in the state of New Mexico.
  • Understanding of opiate addiction, medical terminology, and general nursing knowledge.
  • Basic mathematics skills and computer literacy, including Microsoft products.
  • Minimum of 1-year direct patient contact experience and prior experience in a clinical environment.
Working Conditions:

This role requires standing for most of the time, with occasional exertion of up to 10 pounds of force. You will work in an open area with moderate everyday noise and be able to perform other duties as required.
