The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing quality strategies, designing and executing tests on new and existing hardware products to ensure they meet functional, technical, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive quality assurance strategies for hardware products.
  • Design and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure quality and reliability of hardware products.
  • Conduct thorough testing of hardware products to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and requirements.
  • Collaborate with UL (Underwriters Laboratories) to ensure proper testing and certification of hardware products.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and regulatory affairs, to ensure successful development and launch of high-quality hardware products.
  • Establish and maintain supplier quality management processes to ensure selection and performance of reliable and compliant suppliers.
  • Conduct supplier audits and assessments to evaluate supplier capabilities and adherence to quality standards.
  • Identify areas for improvement in hardware development and manufacturing processes and implement corrective actions to enhance product quality.
  • Interface with Hardware Engineering Department and other members of Product Support Engineering Department to resolve all reported issues before product release.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in hardware quality assurance, preferably in a managerial or leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory standards and requirements for hardware products, including working experience with UL standards.
  • Experience in developing and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
  • Familiarity with supplier quality management processes and supplier auditing.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficient in using quality assurance tools and software.
  • Certifications in quality assurance, such as Six Sigma or ASQ, are a plus.
Experience and Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality assurance, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
  • Position requires excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with other team members.
  • Ability to lead and mentor multiple projects and Hardware QA Engineers simultaneously.
  • Advanced time management and organizational skills.
  • Capable of providing input and solutions on specific or project-wide issues.
  • Ability to evaluate Hardware QA Engineer performance and provide feedback.
  • Detailed-oriented and capable of working and leading with minimal supervision.
  • Able to work and deliver in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Results-oriented, risk-taking, and extensive multi-tasking ability.
