We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at United Hospital Center. As an LPN on our Skilled Care Unit, you will provide direct patient care, working closely with our Registered Nurses to ensure the highest level of care for our patients.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Assist Registered Nurses with health teaching and education of patients, families, and significant others.
- Administer medications as ordered by physicians, following hospital policy and procedure.
- Document patient care and progress, maintaining accurate and thorough records.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication.
- Graduate of a Practical Nursing Program.
- Current LPN licensure in the state of West Virginia.
- Current CPR certification.
- Completion of UHC's Licensed Practical Nurse II Certification Course.
- Preferred qualifications include ACLS certification and experience with EPIC documentation system.
As an LPN on our Skilled Care Unit, you will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, providing care to patients with a variety of medical needs. You will be exposed to body fluids, human tissues, contagious diseases, sharps, and explosive gases, as well as cleaning agents and disinfectants.
