Key Responsibilities

  • Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts during business hours with flexible start times. This position requires on-site presence.
  • Ideal for experienced RNs seeking to advance their careers into healthcare administration.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Lead and coordinate activities related to the Stroke Program, serving as the primary contact for this initiative.
  • Engage in performance improvement data collection and activities to enhance the quality of stroke care.
  • Assist in developing and implementing policies, procedures, and educational initiatives related to stroke care.
  • Evaluate the Stroke Program using data analysis and present findings to relevant committees.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to address challenges, implement new services, and improve performance measures.
  • Be adaptable and willing to assist colleagues as needed to support community health initiatives.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  1. Current RN licensure in the state.
  2. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  3. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master’s degree (APN) preferred.
  4. A minimum of five years of clinical and/or management experience in a healthcare setting, including at least two years of inpatient experience preferred.
  5. Knowledge of stroke patient care guidelines after six months of employment.
  6. Familiarity with current state laws and regulations applicable to healthcare facilities and stroke programs.
  7. Proficient in Windows applications, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; strong skills in data management and quality improvement processes are essential.
  8. Experience with Computerized Physician Order Entry (CPOE) and core clinical systems is required.
