Key Responsibilities
- Work Schedule: Monday to Friday with flexible start times; 8-hour shifts during business hours; this position requires on-site presence.
- Ideal for an experienced RN aiming to advance into healthcare administration.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Lead and coordinate all activities related to the Stroke Program, serving as the primary contact for this initiative.
- Engage in performance improvement data collection and activities to enhance the Stroke Program, ensuring high-quality healthcare delivery.
- Assist in developing and implementing policies, procedures, and educational initiatives related to stroke care.
- Evaluate the Stroke Program using data analysis and present findings to relevant committees.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to identify and resolve issues, implement new services, and enhance performance measures.
- Flexibility to assist with additional duties as required to support team objectives.
Qualifications
Education and Experience Requirements
- Current RN licensure in the state.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master’s degree (APN) preferred.
- A minimum of five years of clinical and/or management experience in a healthcare setting, including at least two years of inpatient experience preferred.
- Knowledge of stroke patient care guidelines is required after six months of employment.
- Familiarity with current state laws and regulations relevant to healthcare and stroke programs.
- Proficient in Windows applications, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; strong skills in data management and quality improvement processes are essential.
- Experience with Computerized Physician Order Entry (CPOE) and core clinical systems is required.
