Responsibilities
Schedule: Monday through Friday (NO Weekends) - 8-hour shifts during business hours, with flexibility in start times - This position requires on-site presence.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced RN looking to advance their career into hospital administration.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Responsible for coordinating and leading all activities related to the Stroke Program, serving as the primary contact for this initiative.
- Actively participate in performance improvement data collection and activities to enhance the Stroke Program, ensuring the highest quality of healthcare delivery.
- Assist in developing and implementing policies, procedures, and staff education related to stroke care, requiring creativity and strong interpersonal skills.
- Evaluate the Stroke Program through data analysis and present findings to relevant committees, necessitating strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to identify and resolve issues, manage costs, and implement new services and performance measures for both the Risk and Stroke Programs.
- Perform other assigned duties as necessary, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to support team members for the benefit of the community.
Qualifications
Education and Work Experience
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master's degree (APN) preferred.
- A minimum of five years of clinical and/or management experience in a multidisciplinary healthcare setting, including at least two years of inpatient experience preferred.
- Knowledge of stroke patient care using the American Stroke Association Guidelines required after six months.
- Familiarity with current State Laws and Regulations applicable to the facility and Stroke Program.
- Proficiency in Windows applications, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; strong skills in data management, analysis, and quality improvement processes are essential.
- Experience with Computerized Physician Order Entry (CPOE) and core clinical systems is required.
