We are seeking a highly skilled Inpatient Nutritionist to join our team at Mount Sinai Morningside. As a key member of our Food Service Therapeutics department, you will provide quality nutrition care and education to patients and their families.
Responsibilities- Evaluate the nutritional status of patients and develop personalized nutrition plans to meet their needs.
- Conduct nutrition-focused physical exams and document findings in the medical record.
- Provide quality nutrition counseling to patients, family members, and caregivers.
- Work collaboratively with the Food Service Department to ensure patient needs are met and compliance with therapeutic diets is maintained.
- Communicate effectively with the healthcare team and participate in interdisciplinary rounds and discharge planning.
- Bachelor's degree with completion of ACEND-accredited dietetic internship required.
- Masters degree in Clinical Nutrition or related field preferred.
- Registered Dietitian (RD) from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or registration-eligible with completion of dietetic internship from an ACEND-accredited program.
