Position Overview:

Service Technician - Class II to III

Role Summary:

As a Service Technician, you will leverage your HVAC expertise to maintain and repair heating, refrigeration, and air conditioning systems. Your responsibilities will range from straightforward repairs to intricate tasks involving advanced control circuits and multiple compressor systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Repair or replace compressor and condenser units as necessary.
  • Fabricate, assemble, and install ductwork and related components.
  • Join tubing or pipes, solder joints, and create complete refrigerant circuits.
  • Conduct repairs or replacements of motors, compressors, controls, and fans.
  • Perform leak tests, address leaks, and replenish refrigerant gas.
  • Replace faulty controls, thermostats, switches, and fuses.
  • Maintain tools and vehicles in good working condition.
  • Adhere to safety protocols, report hazards, and propose safety enhancements.
  • Exhibit strong time management, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrate commitment, teamwork, and adaptability in the workplace.
Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

A High School diploma or equivalent is required. Previous experience in commercial or industrial HVAC is preferred. Class I and II certifications are necessary, while EPA Universal certification is advantageous. Knowledge of pneumatic controls is a plus. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are essential, along with the ability to work in various conditions.

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:

A valid Driver's License and Class I and II certifications are required. EPA Universal certification is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

The role requires the ability to climb ladders, lift heavy objects, utilize hand tools, and work in confined spaces.

Work Environment:

Work may involve exposure to heights and extreme temperatures, necessitating the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment.
