Job Title: Senior Substation Protection and Control Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Substation Protection and Control Engineer to join our team in Portland, OR. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for designing substation protection and control projects for electric utilities at voltages from 12kV up to 500kV.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design substation protection and control systems for electric utilities
  • Develop and implement digital logic design, AC and DC circuits for substation electrical projects
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients to meet project needs
  • Ensure compliance with quality control and safe work practices
  • Participate in project lifecycle support from scoping to final design and delivery
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 6+ years of experience in substation protection and control design and/or field testing/commissioning
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read and design substation protection and control drawings
  • Proficiency in CAD tools and software
