Catering Captain Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Catering Captain to join our team at Bon Appétit Management Company. As a Catering Captain, you will be responsible for coordinating catering staff schedules, preparing and serving food at scheduled functions, and ensuring that all events are delivered, served, and cleared in a timely fashion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Determine workload requirements from catering orders and meet with function group leaders to discuss setup arrangements.
  • Interact with customers and resolve complaints in a service-oriented manner, demonstrating a complete understanding of menu items.
  • Instruct staff on work expectations for catered functions and help staff set up rooms to desired specifications.
  • Assemble and deliver food and supplies to scheduled locations, serve food and beverages to guests, and return food, beverages, serving equipment, and utensils to the catering facility.
  • Ensure proper presentation, portion control, and maintenance of serving temperatures, following HACCP standards, and maintain sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies, and utensils.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • A valid driver's license may be required, and a valid food handler's permit and/or alcohol servers permit may be required by state law.
