Core Responsibilities:
  • Act as the primary liaison for all internal and external audits pertaining to the cybersecurity division.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive repository of approved responses and evidence related to cybersecurity controls.
  • Keep track of audit findings and relevant management action plans for the cybersecurity division, coordinating necessary remediation efforts.
  • Collaborate with the cybersecurity leadership team to identify trends from audits and contribute to strategic objectives.
  • Oversee external cybersecurity certification and attestation audits (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC, SOX).
  • Manage updates to cybersecurity policies and standards, ensuring a systematic annual review and release cycle.
  • Coordinate with control owners to review policies and standards, ensuring compliance with updates.
  • Conduct business impact assessments across various business lines to identify potential risks.
  • Perform compliance audits to verify adherence to policies and standards by control owners.
  • Monitor the evolving threat landscape to inform cybersecurity policy and standards.
  • Engage with Legal, Finance, business stakeholders, and cybersecurity management to clarify policy statements.
  • Stay informed about emerging security threats, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements to ensure policies and standards are up-to-date and effective.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Possession of a CRISC, CISM, CISA, CISSP certification or a minimum of 7 years of experience in cybersecurity with a focus on audits.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks, certifications, attestations, and audits such as NIST CSF, ISO 27001, SOC 1, SOC 2, ISAE 3402, PCI compliance, and HIPAA.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements including CCPA, GDPR, NYDFS 500, Bermuda Monetary Authority, and UK Financial Conduct Authority.
  • Knowledge of cloud service models, application security best practices, and vulnerability management.
  • Self-motivated with strong initiative and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent prioritization skills, with the ability to break down tasks into manageable components and assess their urgency.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across multiple teams and ensure program needs are met through effective communication.
Compensation Overview

The actual base salary may vary and could be above or below the listed range based on factors such as experience, expertise, and skills. The base salary is just one part of Ascot's comprehensive compensation package, which may also include an annual cash bonus and other discretionary rewards.

The annual base salary range for this position is: $100,000 - $130,000 (for US candidates).
