We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Construction Project Manager to join our team at Turner & Townsend Heery. As a key member of our aviation project management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of complex aviation projects in Los Angeles.
Key Responsibilities- Project Oversight: Conduct regular site visits to monitor project progress, review status of work completed, and ensure that construction is proceeding in a good and workmanlike manner.
- Contractor Management: Review contractors' direct cost payment requisitions, budget status, and subcontractor default insurance.
- Change Order Management: Review and approve change orders, ensuring that they are in compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
- Financial Management: Review monthly job cost reports, opine on the adequacy of contingency, and prepare project status reports.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct construction risk assessments and prepare reports to identify potential risks and opportunities.
- Communication: Collaborate with project team leaders to review progress, tackle issues, and ensure effective communication with stakeholders.
- Experience: Fifteen (15) years of full-time paid professional experience in construction and/or project management, with a minimum of eight years' experience in construction administration, architecture, engineering, or a related field.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational and analytical skills, ability to provide efficient and reliable service to customers, and intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of financial terms and principles, ability to calculate complex figures, and knowledge of MS Project, leases, contracts, and construction practices.
