Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) ED - Emergency Department

Inova Health System is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Department team at Inova Fairfax Hospital, a Level 1 Trauma Center and one of the busiest EDs in the nation.

Job Summary:
  • Provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency setting.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest clinical practices and technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess and prioritize patient needs, providing individualized care and treatment.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, working closely with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, identifying and addressing potential health risks and concerns.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring patient responses and adjusting care plans as needed.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and transitions.

Requirements:

  • Current RN licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
  • Minimum one year of experience in an acute care setting, preferably in emergency nursing.
  • BSN from an accredited school of nursing; ADN with commitment to complete BSN within 5 years.
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
  • CEN/TNCC/ACLS certification desired.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
