Primary Responsibilities:

Initial Project Phase (Work at multiple cell sites):

  • Installation of Ciena SiteBoss systems.
  • Preparation of Customer Service Router (CSR) for deployment.
  • Access and configure the CSR, ensuring the correct Internetwork Operating System (IOS) version is in place.
  • Load site-specific configurations onto the router.
  • Verify that configurations are correctly implemented.
  • Install new cabling as necessary, ensuring compatibility with existing infrastructure.
  • Organize and label cables appropriately.
  • Conduct SiteBoss activation procedures.
  • Connect SiteBoss to existing CSR and verify connectivity.
  • Manage CSR migration processes, including coordination with support teams.
  • Transfer necessary components from legacy systems to new installations.
  • Ensure all migration tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.
  • Compile and finalize project documentation.

Subsequent Project Phase (Work at additional cell sites):

  • Upgrade existing CSR network from 10G to 100G.
  • Conduct site assessments to ensure readiness for upgrades.
  • Test new fiber spans and prepare existing infrastructure for migration.
  • Facilitate site migration with minimal field assistance, while maintaining availability for support.
  • Anticipate project timelines and manage resources effectively.
