Position Overview

The Lead Quantitative Financial Analyst plays a crucial role within our client's Financial Analysis division. This position is tasked with providing essential support to legal professionals and management in various high-profile practice areas, including Emerging Companies & Growth, Capital Markets, Mergers & Acquisitions, and Private Equity. The analyst will collaborate closely with legal teams on transactions that necessitate advanced financial modeling, encompassing proforma capitalizations, liquidation waterfalls, merger consideration spreadsheets, voting models, and IPO beneficial ownership models.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer strategic guidance to internal deal teams, leveraging insights gained from comprehensive analyses and addressing inquiries related to data and analytical methodologies.
  • Create polished, client-ready financial models and effectively convey analytical findings to partners, associates, and external clients as required.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation of processes, methodologies, and data sources utilized during analytical tasks.
  • Ensure the timely delivery of precise and professional outputs.
  • Engage in educational initiatives for attorneys focused on quantitative analysis methodologies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Preferred financial/investment industry certification (CFA).
  • A minimum of four (4) years of relevant analytical experience in corporate finance, consulting, or Mergers & Acquisitions.
  • Experience in a professional services environment (investment banking, consulting, private equity, venture capital, etc.) is preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage transactional engagements in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to devise alternative solutions to achieve objectives.
  • Capability to adjust priorities in response to shifting deadlines and deliverables.
