Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Development Manager to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the development of greenfield solar and storage projects from initial land search efforts through to commercial operation.
Key Responsibilities- Identify market opportunities and perform due diligence on potential development parcels
- Manage local and national permitting on multiple projects in varied jurisdictions across the country
- Manage a diverse group of consultants, engineers, attorneys, and other project stakeholders
- Manage project development budgets and milestones to achieve on time and at or under cost
- Originate and negotiate power purchase agreements
- Interface directly with landowners, investors, and other project stakeholders
- 1-3 years of experience in utility scale solar project development
- Proven track record of project management, land development, and maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders
- Understanding of finance and energy markets
- GIS experience (e.g. ArcGIS, QGIS, Google Earth, etc.)
- Experience with land acquisitions, project zoning/permitting, transmission and distribution-level interconnection, and energy storage (a plus)
- High proficiency with project management software and MS Office suite
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and travel occasionally
- Competitive salary range: $100,000 - $150,000 per year
