About the Job

The Phlebotomist II is a critical member of our laboratory team, responsible for collecting and processing biological specimens for testing. This role requires strong interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and process biological specimens for testing, including blood, tissue, and body fluids
  • Operate laboratory equipment, including centrifuges and microscopes
  • Register patients and order tests using the Laboratory Information System
  • File requisitions, reports, and other pathology materials
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients, visitors, and healthcare team members
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; course in phlebotomy/venipuncture preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience, including data entry and specimen handling
  • Neonatal/pediatric phlebotomy experience a plus
  • Certifications: CPT - Phlebotomy Technician Certification by Board of Certification (ACA), (AMT), (NCCT); PBT(ASCP) - Phlebotomy Technician (ASCP)
