Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain blood and body fluid specimens from patients using aseptic techniques and following established protocols.
  • Identify phlebotomy difficulties and develop solutions to improve specimen collection processes.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of specimen collection and processing.
  • Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure smooth specimen processing and testing.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest laboratory techniques and procedures.
Requirements
  • Completion of a phlebotomy program or equivalent experience.
  • Washington Medical Assistant Phlebotomist Certification.
  • 6 months of laboratory experience or completion of a phlebotomy program.
