Role Overview

The Outside Sales Representative plays a crucial role in driving sales and marketing initiatives aimed at enhancing profitable sales through the establishment and nurturing of high-quality relationships with both new and existing clients. This position leverages company resources to deliver tailored solutions, generate sales, and ensure outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote and demonstrate products effectively, highlighting their features and advantages.
  • Expand the customer base by acquiring new clients and upselling to current customers.
  • Collaborate with management and team members to strategize and implement effective sales plans.
  • Assist clients in selecting appropriate products, utilizing internal resources and supplier expertise.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships, understanding their needs to offer customized solutions.
  • Facilitate communication with clients throughout their purchasing journey.
  • Work alongside management to address and resolve payment issues promptly.
  • Gather market intelligence and report findings to management regarding competitors and industry trends.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance sales skills and product knowledge.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and expenses.
  • Coordinate with vendors to introduce and showcase products to customers.
  • Utilize digital tools and customer solutions to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales or the electrical industry.

Skills and Attributes

  • Positive and customer-focused attitude.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of products and applications relevant to the industry.
  • Self-motivated and proactive.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with ERP and CRM systems.
  • Willingness to work overtime as necessary.

Working Conditions
