Job Title: Sales Associate - Counter and Inside Sales

Role Summary:

As a Sales Associate specializing in Counter and Inside Sales, your primary responsibility will be to assist clients both in-person and via telephone. You will be tasked with processing orders in our system, reviewing and retrieving orders, and ensuring that customer requirements are fulfilled in a professional and timely manner. Additionally, you will be expected to drive new business through various sales initiatives and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Sales Register, retrieve materials from inventory, and complete customer orders.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked counter area and assist in keeping the entire facility orderly.
  • Handle incoming sales calls and process orders over the phone.
  • Foster relationships with the existing customer base.
  • Achieve established monthly sales targets.
  • Collaborate effectively with the external sales team and other departments.
  • Ensure timely follow-up on all customer orders, quotes, and materials.
  • Stay informed about new and existing products and services.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • 2 years of sales experience.
  • 2 years of customer service experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the construction industry.
  • Background in the trades sector.

Working Environment:

Work conditions will vary based on the tasks at hand and may include warehouse, sales floor, and external environments. Responsibilities may involve lifting (up to 50 lbs.), sorting, standing, and exposure to varying temperatures.

Supervisory Role: None

Compensation:

The compensation range for this position is between $25 and $40 per hour.

Additional Compensation:

Potential for profit sharing may be applicable.
