Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified University Supervisor to oversee the supervision of secondary teacher candidates in History and Social Science education. The successful candidate will be responsible for mentoring teacher candidates in their student teaching internships, observing and assessing their teaching experience, and collaborating with the Cooperating Teacher and ISU faculty.

Responsibilities
  • Mentor teacher candidates in their student teaching internships
  • Observe and assess teacher candidates' teaching experience
  • Collaborate with the Cooperating Teacher and ISU faculty
  • Provide formal assessments of teacher candidates' teaching experience
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's degree in teaching or a relevant academic field
  • At least three years of history and/or social science classroom teaching experience in a middle school or high school classroom and/or related professional experience
  • Oral proficiency in the English language
