Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Staff Architect to join our team. As a Staff Architect, you will be responsible for conceiving, designing, and preparing working drawings for new or modified structures. You will also perform a variety of complicated problem-solving tasks and be responsible for daily supervision of design and technical development of projects.
Responsibilities- Conceive, design, and prepare working drawings for new or modified structures.
- Perform a variety of complicated problem-solving tasks.
- Responsible for daily supervision of design and technical development of projects.
- Prepare project budget scenarios and track hours spent on projects.
- Prepare suggestions for staffing requirements and production to keep project performance on track.
- Define productivity and profit goals for each assigned project.
- Work with project managers to conceptualize project assignments.
- Develop effective client relationships to bring projects to fruition.
- Keep design support teams productive and efficient.
- Work with contractors to price, bid, and construct projects.
- Bachelor's degree in architecture from an accredited program.
- Minimum 4 years related experience (completion of master's degree in related field may be substituted for one year of experience).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to apply intensive and diversified knowledge of principles and practices to broad areas of assignments.
- Previous consulting experience preferred.
- Proficient in REVIT.
- Demonstrated progress toward becoming a Registered Architect.
This is a full-time position with a schedule of 5% travel. The primary location is US-VA-Norfolk, with other locations in US-VA-Roanoke. The job hire type is Experienced, and the Req ID is 243032.
