We are seeking a highly skilled Gastroenterologist to join our team at Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY). As a key member of our Department of Medicine, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the academic mission of our institution.
Key Responsibilities- Function independently to complete history and physical data on patients, perform complete physical exams, and interpret and integrate data to determine appropriate diagnosis and treatment plan.
- Order and interpret diagnostic and therapeutic tests relative to patient needs.
- Prescribe appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment modalities.
- Collaborate, educate, and supervise Advance Practice Providers (APP's) in managing acute and long-term medical needs of patients.
- Provide medical care in high-functional settings, responsible for all patient interactions within the area of service.
- Collaborate with multi-specialty colleagues, working as an integral part of a world-class health system.
- Licensed to practice medicine in the State of New York.
- Board Certified or Eligible in specialty, if necessary.
- Proficient use of Electronic Medical Record System (EMR), such as Epic.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) required.
- High attention to detail, ability to maintain high standards despite pressing deadlines.
- Ability to work well under pressure, adapt to unexpected events, prioritize and multi-task in a deadline-driven environment.
