Job Title: Gastroenterologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Gastroenterologist to join our team at Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY). As a faculty member in the Gastrointestinal Division at Montefiore Medical Center, you will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of healthcare professionals and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:
  • Training and Supervision: Oversee and mentor GI fellows, Internal Medicine residents, and medical students in a dynamic and supportive learning environment.
  • Clinical Responsibilities: Provide direct patient care and endoscopy services, utilizing state-of-the-art equipment and resources.
  • Procedures: Perform a wide range of procedures, including standard endoscopies and colonoscopies, EUS/FNA, diagnostic and therapeutic ERCP, capsule endoscopy, and various advanced endoscopic techniques.
  • Research Opportunities: Engage in research and other career development activities, contributing to the advancement of gastroenterology and improving patient outcomes.
Qualifications:
  • Licensed to practice medicine in the State of New York
  • ABMS Board Eligible/Board Certified in Gastroenterology
  • Proficient use of Electronic Medical Record System (EMR), such as Epic
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) required
  • High attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards despite pressing deadlines
  • Ability to work well under pressure, adapt to unexpected events, prioritize, and multi-task in a deadline-driven environment
  • Must be able to prioritize a variety of time-sensitive tasks and consistently display the highest degree of integrity, professionalism, diplomacy, and discretion
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
