We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Investigator III to join our team at the State of Rhode Island. As a Fire Investigator III, you will conduct comprehensive investigations of difficult and complex fires and fire-related fatalities throughout the state.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct advanced and complex exterior and interior surveys to gather evidence and determine the cause of fires.
  • Interpret data from various sources, including Investigator, Firearm, and Insurance reports.
  • Develop and implement strategies to prevent future fires and reduce the risk of fire-related fatalities.
  • Collaborate with other agencies and stakeholders to share knowledge and best practices in fire investigation.

Requirements:

  • Advanced degree in a field related to fire investigation or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in fire investigation or a related field.
  • Proven track record of conducting complex fire investigations and developing effective strategies to prevent future fires.
