Human Resources Manager Position

Immediate opening in Valencia, CA Corporate Office for a Human Resources Manager.
The primary function of this position is to oversee the administration and operational needs of the Human Resources Department, collaborating with the Chief Human Resources Officer on various department projects and functions.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage staff within the HR Department, including interviewing, selecting, and orienting new employees, as well as disciplining and discharging personnel when necessary. Confer with department management to identify human resource needs, job specifications, job duties, qualifications, and skills. Develop and implement recruitment programs to ensure an adequate flow of applicants for specific job openings. Chair the safety committee and suggestion committee, and manage workers compensation and LOA programs, communicating regularly with employees, insurance companies, and attorneys as needed. Administer the performance review program, handle employee relations issues, and collaborate with the Chief Human Resources Officer on the creation of company policies and procedures. Travel as required, provide training on various topics, and develop and initiate development plans for staff. Ensure optimum utilization of the HRIS system for increased efficiency within the department, and complete miscellaneous projects as assigned by the Chief Human Resources Officer.
Requirements:
College degree or equivalent work experience preferred. Minimum of 7 years human resources experience, with at least 4 years in an HR Management capacity. Knowledge of state and federal laws regarding employment and general personnel practices. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
