Position Overview
The selected individual will take on the role of Pilot-in-Command (PIC) alongside a qualified Second-In-Command (SIC) for the operation of a Lear 45XR within a business aviation framework governed by 14 CFR Part 91. The PIC is entrusted with ensuring the safety and comfort of all passengers while managing the efficient operation of the aircraft.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and ensure compliance with all FAA regulations during flight and ground operations.
- Collaborate with the SIC to make informed decisions regarding potential delays, rerouting, or cancellations.
- Foster a positive and cooperative atmosphere within the flight crew.
- Engage in various departmental tasks when not actively flying, including attending crew meetings and maintaining cabin supplies.
Candidate Profile
Preference will be given to candidates who exhibit exceptional attention to detail, professionalism, and outstanding customer service skills.
This role is based at a designated airport, and it is essential that the candidate resides within a two-hour radius of the location. As a pilot for Pentastar Aviation, individuals can anticipate flying approximately 275 hours annually, with around 125 days dedicated to travel.
Qualifications
- FAA ATP Certificate with Multi-Engine Rating.
- FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
- A minimum of 3000 hours of total flight experience.
- Valid US Passport.
- Experience in a multi-crew setting.
- A Bachelor's degree in aviation or a related discipline is preferred.
- Flexibility to adapt to a dynamic work schedule.
- Prior experience with the Lear 40 series is advantageous.
- Applicants who are FSI or CAE-trained and current on the Lear 45 will be given strong preference.
