Position Overview

This full-time, on-site position for a Senior Vice President of Construction at Haseko North America in Irvine, CA, encompasses the comprehensive oversight of construction initiatives, from initial planning and budgeting to final execution and delivery. The SVP of Construction will spearhead a dedicated team, manage timelines, uphold quality benchmarks, supervise financial aspects, and engage with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the acquisitions team in assessing the projected costs of potential ground-up multi-family developments throughout the region.
  • Participate in the negotiation of Development Management Agreements and Construction Contracts with partners.
  • Monitor the advancement of ground-up multi-family projects, including scheduling, budget management, and contingency planning.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of monthly draw requests and make informed decisions on change orders.
  • Oversee a portfolio of approximately 15 projects at various development stages, reporting key milestones and trends to the broader team.

Qualifications:

  • Significant experience in construction management and leadership roles.
  • Proven ability to effectively manage large-scale projects and teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction processes, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Professional certifications such as PMP or CCM are advantageous.
