Core Responsibilities
- Assist in instructing individuals, small groups, or classes under the guidance of certified teachers.
- Prepare lesson plans and materials, and assess student progress.
- Document student progress and provide regular feedback to students, teachers, and parents.
- Support students in reinforcing learning as outlined in Individualized Education Plans.
- Collaborate with teachers to develop strategies for reinforcing material based on individual student needs.
- Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards regarding student information.
- Foster collaborative relationships with school personnel, parents, and service providers to enhance student outcomes.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications
Required
- Native or near-native fluency in Mandarin Chinese.
- Professional proficiency in English.
Preferred
- Experience as a classroom aide or relevant coursework in Education/Special Education.
- Bachelor's degree is preferred.
Time Commitment
185-day school year with 8 professional development days for collaboration. Typical working hours are from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Compensation
$20-23 per hour plus benefits, based on experience.
