Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive plans for program execution, including schedules, estimates, and resource allocation.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products and services to our customers.
  • Identify and manage scope changes, ensuring timely and cost-effective execution.
  • Ensure on-time deliverables, including documentation and products.
  • Perform risk and opportunity management, defining and executing action plans to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.
  • Provide detailed resource requirements for successful program execution.
  • Respond to related requests for proposals, coordinate and develop proposals, and related documentation.
  • Create statements of work and perform subcontract management as required.
  • Present program status to leadership, including reporting on key performance indicators and critical path.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, developing and executing action plans to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with operations, engineering, and business development teams to ensure informed decision-making.
  • Manage customer expectations and communicate professionally.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 5+ years of relevant program/project management experience in aerospace, defense, or space hardware development.
  • Knowledge of government contracting practices, earned value management, and standard program reporting metrics.
  • Experience leading technical projects for product development programs.
  • Aerospace and defense industry experience, with a focus on development or production of aerospace, defense, or space hardware.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, internal, and external stakeholders.
  • Solid knowledge of program scheduling tools, such as MS Project.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Ability to obtain a DoD clearance if required (US citizens only).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Development and/or production PM experience.
  • Program management certification (PMP).
  • Experience with documentation and collaboration tools, such as Confluence and SharePoint.
  • Experience managing programs in a multi-site matrix organization.
  • Experience with military and commercial programs.
  • Experience with contract management and subcontract management.
  • Knowledge of FAR, DFAR, ITAR, and export regulations.
  • Prior external customer support/interface experience.
