About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team at Climax Molybdenum. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our employees, visitors, and assets at our mine site in Leadville, Colorado.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform regular patrols of the property to prevent and detect security breaches.
  • Monitor and respond to emergency situations, including fires, medical emergencies, and security incidents.
  • Conduct surveillance of high-risk areas and report any suspicious activity to management.
  • Provide excellent customer service to visitors and employees, including greeting and logging in visitors, and directing them to their destinations.
  • Enforce company policies and procedures, including security protocols and emergency response plans.
Requirements
  • CPR and first aid certifications.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and respond appropriately to emergency situations.
  • Knowledge of site rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to work a non-standard schedule, including shift work and 24/7 operations.
