Job Summary

The Risk Analyst will work closely with the Risk Department to support the bank's BSA and Risk Management functions, providing critical support to the Chief Risk Officer in executing and administering various programs throughout the bank.

This role involves performing daily or time-sensitive functions, exercising initiative and judgment to address and resolve problems on a regular basis. It requires maintaining strong working relationships with all leaders and teams, ensuring that time-sensitive risk-related matters are adequately addressed.


Key Responsibilities
  • Bank Secrecy Act (50%)
    • Assist the BSA Officer with daily management of the automated BSA/AML system, including daily processes and administrative matters.
    • Analyze sensitive information concerning customer and account activity, including transactional and documentation data, and conduct additional research to determine trends and patterns of unusual or suspicious behavior.
    • Escalate findings for further review and perform Due Diligence reviews on designated accounts, such as those opened within 90 days or those with a Low or Moderate Risk Score.
  • Risk Analysis and Mitigation (50%)
    • Administer the Vendor Management System and assist in the administration of the Business Continuity System and Strategies.
    • Partner with business units to provide operational risk expertise for projects and initiatives with low to moderate inherent risk, serving as a resource, attending project meetings, and providing guidance.

Requirements
  • Education
    • Required: Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Risk, Legal, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Certifications
    • Required: Current Certification or Ability to Obtain CTMA, CBAP, CAFP, CAMS, CFE, CERP, or equivalent designation within two years of hire.
  • Experience
    • Required: 1-3 years of experience in financial services, risk management, or BSA.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Current CTMA, CBAP, CAFP, CAMS, CFE, CERP, or equivalent designation.
  • 3-5 years of experience in financial services, risk management, or BSA.
