Job Summary:

The Arizona Community Protection and Treatment Center (ACPTC) is seeking a highly skilled Psychologist to join our team. As a Psychologist, you will be responsible for providing court-mandated individual and group therapy for adult male sexual offenders determined to be Sexually Violent Persons (SVPs). You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans, conduct psychological evaluations and risk assessments, and provide clinical oversight to professionals and paraprofessionals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide psychological treatment and counseling to individuals and groups, including court-mandated therapy for SVPs.
  • Conduct psychological evaluations and risk assessments to inform treatment decision-making.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including group therapy and counseling services.
  • Provide clinical oversight to professionals and paraprofessionals, including supervision of psychology interns and students.
  • Participate in clinical treatment planning and staffings, including development of individualized treatment plans for ACPTC residents.
  • Conduct research in areas of mental health, sex offender treatment, recidivism, and psychology, and present case study reviews to members of psychology staff.
Requirements:
  • Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Licensed as a Psychologist in the State of Arizona or license eligible and receive license from the Board of Psychologist Examiners within one year of appointment.
  • Experience working with individuals with a history of sexual offending, treatment, or assessment preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team and provide clinical oversight to professionals and paraprofessionals.
