Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mental Health Therapist Leader to join our team at the Arizona Official Website of State of Arizona.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified professional to lead and direct the work of mental health therapists in providing services to patients with psychological disorders and life struggles. The successful candidate will be responsible for participating in an interdisciplinary treatment team, providing psychological services, and conducting individual and group therapy sessions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and supervise the work of mental health therapists in providing services to patients.
  • Participate in an interdisciplinary treatment team to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  • Conduct psychological evaluations, including violence risk assessments and competency to stand trial evaluations.
  • Develop and implement behavior plans to address aggression, self-injury, and other maladaptive behaviors.
  • Provide clinical supervision to interns and practicum students.
  • Offer educational trainings to hospital staff on various topics as needed.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology and be licensed as a Psychologist in the State of Arizona or be license eligible. You should also have experience working with individuals with serious mental illness and forensic populations. Preference will be given to applicants with Public Health experience.

Estimated Salary

$95,000 - $110,000 per year, based on location and experience.
