Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Mechanic to join our team at Government Jobs. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of tasks related to the inspection, maintenance, and repair of locomotives, track maintenance equipment, and other heavy equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on locomotives, locomotive cranes, spreaders, and other equipment
  • Conduct inspections to identify and diagnose issues with equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical issues
  • Collaborate with other maintenance teams to ensure seamless operations
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment
Requirements
  • Valid journeyman's license in a relevant trade
  • Proven experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
