Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Housekeeping & Laundry Supervisor to join our team at Brethren Care Village. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising laundry and housekeeping staff, maintaining a clean environment for residents and staff, and performing routine cleaning tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily housekeeping and laundry operations at the Health Care Center.
- Schedule work hours for housekeeping and laundry staff and fill in as needed.
- Perform employee evaluations and take inventory of laundry and housekeeping supplies.
- Coordinate on-campus moves and ensure that all rooms are cleaned and inspected before new residents move in.
- Clean resident rooms, including bathrooms and other assigned areas.
- Perform daily tasks following infection control and universal precaution policies and procedures.
- Respect confidentiality and residents' rights.
- Follow dress code and safety policies.
- Work effectively with all departments and maintain a positive attitude.
Requirements:
- Applicant should be at least 18 years of age.
- Applicant should be able to read, speak, write, and follow oral and written directions in English.
Work Environment:
Indoors - Works in well-lighted and ventilated areas. Subject to possible falls, odors, and injuries from equipment. May be exposed to infectious waste, diseases, chemicals, and various viruses.
Outdoors - Possible exposure to weather extremes.
