Job Title: Senior Certified Nursing Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at the State of Florida. As a Senior Certified Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our residents, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being.

Job Summary:

The Senior Certified Nursing Assistant will be responsible for providing nursing care to residents, including assisting with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. You will also be responsible for observing and reporting any changes in a resident's condition, as well as providing emotional support and companionship.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide nursing care to residents, including assistance with activities of daily living
  • Observe and report any changes in a resident's condition
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to residents
  • Assist with meal service and transportation to meal service areas
  • Perform restorative nursing measures as outlined in the care plan
  • Measure and record vital signs as assigned
  • Document all care given on the appropriate form and/or utilize the electronic patient care documentation system
Requirements:
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, and speaking)
  • Must be willing and able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must possess a valid Certified Nursing Assistant license in Florida
  • Must be willing and able to work a schedule that is inclusive of weekends and holidays
  • Must have basic computer skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in a 120-bed skilled long-term care nursing facility
  • Possess a current CPR card
  • High School Diploma or GED

We offer a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package, including health, vision, dental, disability, and other supplemental insurance. Paid vacation and sick leave, as well as nine paid holidays and one personal day, are also included. Tuition waiver available for State Universities and Community Colleges (up to six credits per semester).
