Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team in a dynamic and fast-paced food service environment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing menus, training staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Menu Development: Create and implement regular and specialty menus that meet the needs of our customers and adhere to our quality and safety standards.
  • Staff Training and Development: Train and mentor kitchen staff in food preparation, equipment operation, and safety protocols to ensure a culture of excellence.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Establish and maintain thorough cleaning and maintenance schedules for equipment and work areas to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
  • Inventory Management: Handle inventory of food and supplies, optimizing utilization while ensuring vital products are readily available.
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with health and sanitation regulations through meticulous adherence to department procedures and participation in audits.
  • Team Collaboration: Actively participate in departmental meetings, staff development initiatives, and professional programs to stay abreast of industry trends.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Culinary Education: Associate's degree in culinary arts or equivalent experience in the culinary industry.
  • Culinary Experience: 5+ years of progressive culinary/kitchen management experience, with catering experience preferred.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven success in high-volume, complex food service operations, with a solid base in institutional and batch cooking.
  • Food Safety and Sanitation: Hands-on chef experience is critical, accompanied by extensive knowledge of food trends, emphasizing quality, production, sanitation, cost control, and presentation.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office suite and email systems.
  • Client Satisfaction: Willingness to actively engage in client satisfaction programs and activities.
  • Certifications: ServSafe & Allergen certifications are highly desirable, highlighting a commitment to food safety.
